Autostol

Audio-installation (Recaro car-seat, car-speakers, carpet, MD-player, Bone China porcleain, steel, velcro). Vestlandets Kunstmuseum, Bergen (NO).

Autostol is was inspired by the anatomy of the human skeleton system and a car-accident simulator. Autostol is an active, but not interactive installation, as the viewer sits down in the car-chair a playback of a low-running motor in the head-piece of the car-chair. Soon after the sound escalates to the level and intensity of a motor gone out of controle.
